About Us

The Card Processing Advisory Service team have unrivalled experience of the card payment industry. In 2004 we were approached by a major bank which required the development of new software to analyse the costs of providing card processing services. Once this software became established, the Department of Trade and Industry became interested in the possibility of using our experience to help businesses to manage their costs in this very specialised area.

In 2005, the Department for Trade and Industry therefore sponsored a project which aimed to find ways to save businesses money on the cost of accepting credit and debit card payments.

The result is the Card Processing Advisory Service (C.P.R.A.S).

At C.P.R.A.S. we offer a free independent analysis of the charges you pay and we identify and quantify potential savings.
